UW-River Falls to Host Bull Buying Seminar for St. Croix Valley Bull Test on April 7.

The University of Wisconsin -River Falls (UWRF), St. Croix Valley Bull Test, and UWRF Beef Management Team will be hosting a bull buying seminar and an opportunity to view sale bulls on Saturday, April 7, 2018. The open house will allow producers to preview the bulls for sale as well as provide an educational program addressing topics related to making herd management decisions.

The educational program will start at 11 am with presentations including “Trace Mineral Functions and the use of Timed Injection of Multimin 90 to Improve Reproduction and Immunity” and Dr. Gary Onan, UWRF, will present on factors impacting the value of the bulls and an overview of EPD’s. In addition to the program, consigners of the bull test will also be available for questions and the sale bulls will be available to view.

The program is free to attend, and the UW-River Falls Student Beef Management Team will be providing a beef lunch. The program will be held at the UWRF Dairy Cattle Learning Center, Mann Valley Farm located 129 South Glover Road, River Falls, Wi.  “BULL BUYING SEMINAR”
Saturday, April 7, 2018 the UW-River Falls Beef Management Team and St. Croix Valley Bull Test will host a Bull Buying Seminar and bull viewing opportunity. The program is free and begins at 11:00 A.M. The Bull Buying Seminar will provide an educational program addressing topics related to making bull-buying decisions plus allow producers to preview the bulls being offered in the 35th annual St. Croix Valley Bull Test auction on April 21, 2018. The UW-River Falls Student Beef Management Team will provide a beef lunch for $6/person.
